Going Green
Batteries

All of our stores participate in a national program called Call2Recycle sponsored by the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC).

If it’s rechargeable, it’s recyclable! The following rechargeable battery chemistries can be recycled - Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion), and Small Sealed Lead* (Pb). Rechargeable batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, digital cameras, two-way radios, camcorders, and remote control toys.

We encourage our customers to drop off used rechargeable batteries and cell phones at no charge.  Come buy new products and do something good for the environment.

Look for the Helpful Earth Choices signs throughout our stores for items that are environmentally friendly.  From cleaning products to light bulbs to air filters - we will continue to add to our list of green products as often as we can.

Light Bulbs

Frustrated with getting rid of old light bulbs?  We’ve got a solution for you.

Bring your old bulbs to one of our stores when you’re ready to buy new ones and we’ll recycle them for you.

Plastic Bags

We’re waging a war against paying for plastic bags that get thrown into a landfill after one use.  Please ask about our fun green totes that are recyclable and much better for the environment.  One Bag At a Time is a great company who helped make this happen for us.
